Before going back to school for her BFA degree, she intends to gain some industry experience in the workforce. Longterm, Grace aspires to be a graphic designer within the music and film industry. Outside of the graphic design world, her interests include special effects makeup application, which she does during the fall season for Schaefer’s Scare Farm and Hayride in New Jersey. WORK STATEMENT: "IT'S OUT OF MY CONTROL" digital (Illustrator & Photoshop), 11 x 8.5 inches, 2020

The piece I created for this COVID-19 exhibition stemmed from the many issues I (and many others) have been facing during this scary time. Titled, "It's Out Of My Control," the work depicts three different versions of my face, each expressing a different emotion. The left face represents loneliness, the middle one joy, and the right face represents anger. The "joy" face shows me wearing a mask, happy to finally go outside. I decided to add an illustration of a magnified strain of the coronavirus to help establish compositional harmony while also helping to strengthen the meaning of the piece.
