WORK STATEMENT: "UNTITLED" ink on paper, 14 x 24 inches, 2020
This piece has to do with the Covid-19 pandemic. I am covering my eyes because I either don’t want to see what the outcome will be in the long run or I don’t know what the outcome will be. Either way, I am distressed by the situation because of the uncertainty. Red light is shining on me and I am in black and white. The picture of me also has inverted colors because it feels like the world doesn’t feel normal. The picture plane is wide to reflect the shape of a flat screen TV which is how I am getting a lot of the information from our leaders.
