WORK STATEMENT: "UNTITLED” charcoal and pastel on brown paper, 36 x 72 inches, 2020
Finding a way to describe working during this time in a visual form was one of the harder pieces I’ve made. So, the piece as a whole, is a big joke - much like trying to do my job right now. My friend suggested that I make a piece following the template of a popular internet meme so that the meaning was more universal, even if only for people in my generation - so that's what I did. The work is made with charcoal and chalk pastel, one of my favorite mediums, on brown paper.
