WORK STATEMENT: "HUMANITY POSSESSES A GOD” pen and marker on paper, 14 x 17 inches, 2020
During this time of social distancing, other than continuing school through online courses, I have been enjoying my free time by reading, playing games, and constructing Gundam models. Normally I don’t have the time to work on my models and I’ve had a large backlog. Because of the time spent building these during the shutdown, my imagination has been running with thoughts of the giant mechs fighting back against the Coronavirus. For my piece for this COVID-19 inspired exhibition, I chose to illustrate the virus in a way that it could easily be killed…a giant flying alien creature.
